Description :
Mr. Heater Big Maxx 80,000 BTU/HR Utility Unit Heater. NIB The Mr. Heater Big Maxx 80,000 BTU Utility Heater (Model MHU80NG) is a highly efficient forced-air unit designed to heat large residential garages, workshops, barns, and warehouses. By default, the unit is configured out of the box to run on Natural Gas (NG), but it explicitly includes a Liquid Propane (LP) conversion kit inside the package. This gives you the versatility to run the machine on whichever fuel source is available on your property. Delivers 80,000 BTU per hour, which effectively warms up to 2,667 square feet (roughly a 3- to 4-car garage). Uses a built-in high-velocity electric fan to pull in cold air, push it across a heavy-duty tubular heat exchanger, and distribute strong, warm air forward. Requires a standard 115V/120V AC electrical outlet to power the internal fan, spark ignition, and exhaust system. Features a power exhaust system that supports both Category 1 vertical venting and Category 3 horizontal venting through an exterior wall. Designed to fit in low-ceiling buildings, requiring a minimum ceiling height of 10 feet and only 1 inch of clearance from the ceiling. To meet safety codes, the base of the heater must hang at least 8 feet above the floor. Uses a standard 1/2-inch gas connection line. The piping, flue, and electrical connections can be configured on either the right or left side by simply rotating the unit 180 degrees during installation. Compatible with standard 24-volt thermostats or smart Wi-Fi thermostats. In original box, never used or installed. The box has been torn open but the unit has not been removed.
